From art schools to artists, from decorators to painters, and everyone in between, this shop attracts people from all over the country as it carries a tremendous amount of color choices that no one else has. What an exciting find for the mother of an artist - and an absolute candy store for every artist out there. We spent quite a bit of time filming and chatting with husband and wife, Jody and Seren, and received an education on pigments at yet another hidden gem in Manhattan. Opened in 1986, Guerra Paint has been "committed to providing paint-making materials of the highest quality that will create new and exciting possibilities." Over the years, along with co-owner Art Guerra, this team of artists has collected thousands of pounds of pigment that they then turn into useable paints for their customers. Their primary resources are from textile and plastic companies, as well as the automotive industry. When Porsche decided not to use a color that was created for them, Guerra zoomed in and purchased several hundred pounds of this gorgeous blue that has a violet cast. The team at this shop is always on the hunt for extinct pigments and people are constantly thrilled to find what they were looking for here on 13th Street.
