Artist Co Op 1 Workspaces Hells Kitchen Midtown West

The Artist Co-op is unique as the only coworking space specific to artists. Created by Rachel Berger and opened in 2017, Rachel has combined her experience as an actor, inspiration from other coworking spaces, and her own personal style to ensure that the Artist Co-op is able to support all aspects of a variety of artistic projects. The mission of the Artist Co-op is to "Create a thriving environment to nurture the innate multidisciplinary nature of the artist community.” As a special tool, space, and community designed for artists, The Artist Co-op is integral to New York City’s artistic community.

Originally, Rachel envisioned The Artist Co-op in the iconic art center of Times Square. However, she quickly saw her 52nd street location as its own unique art hub within the larger art scene. Its location in Hell’s Kitchen enables the Artist-Co-op to benefit from proximity to the theatre district as well as a neighborhood atmosphere. Added onto the classic business amenities of general coworking spaces are rehearsal rooms, a research library, workshopping opportunities, and a kitchen. For Rachel, “any successful artist is a business person,” meaning the existence of a multidisciplinary space for an artist that combines creativity and business is essential.
