Many years ago, founder Walter was a schoolteacher. His partner Dennis, though, had a passion in addition to Walter. That love was Brazil. Finally, after some prodding, Walter agreed to travel there, and while in the country, Dennis purchased an apartment. The two returned during school vacations and every other opportunity they could find, always collecting some crystals that appealed to them. After eight visits in one year, Walter was denied a visa, as the government became suspicious of his travel intentions. The suggestion was to apply for a business visa, as they suspected he already had a business in existence in Brazil. That same day, Walter went home and chatted with Dennis. Together they decided that they ought to turn their budding interest for crystals into something more. Fast forward some thirty years, as Walter and Dennis jet-set to Brazil on a continuous basis to collect their goods: crystals, rocks, gems and precious stones. The shop has a strong metaphysical bent, and a friendly and knowledgeable staff that will patiently explain the aura of each stone. Of course, one man’s resonant crystal is another’s pretty gem – a less spiritual customer might simply enjoy the substantial aesthetic appeal of the inventory.
