The Upper Rust feels like a grandmother's (or even great grandmother's!) attic. Whatever would have met their fancy seems to have found its way to The Upper Rust - and whatever meets The Upper Rust’s fancy is for sale here: a very old tricycle caught our eye, and the full sets of china; a collection of vintage wooden crates and storage boxes; and a handsome aging globe. Visitors are bound to find some surprises among the scattering of antique housewares and might get a little nostalgic exploring the shelves It reminded me of the Sunday strolls I used to take down Portobello Road in London years ago. After residing on 9th Street for many years, The Upper Rust moved to 25th Street in 2016, joining a market-like community of antique and art sellers, including Ashione Gallery, only to close a few months later.
