Chacott – LOST GEM
When Rebecca and I walked into Chacott, she was absolutely giddy with excitement. She told me that she began taking ballet lessons when she was thirteen years old – “ten years too late.” She went on to say, “With my old age, crooked knees, and gangly limbs, I still wanted to be a ballerina…I needed to be one.” It is necessary to mention, however, that while Rebecca’s dreams were crushed, she still loves all things ballet. Although she was just dying to try on a pair of pointe shoes, she restrained herself, instead simply smiling at the stack of them that decorated the far walls and at the classic leotards that elegantly hung from hangers. A ballerina’s haven – this store was an absolute delight to stumble upon.
