Elizabeth King and Paul Farrell, a husband and wife team, opened their restaurant in 1994 in an old carriage house left over from when horses, rather than automobiles, filled New York’s streets. They have designed the space to have the charm and elegance of a European manor house and have developed an upscale menu to match. Visitors to Kings Carriage can sit in the Willow Room, the Mandalay Room, or the Hunt Room for a three-course meal or afternoon tea.
