I ate at Valbella a number of years ago and remember having had an excellent meal, but not much else. This is the kind of restaurant that one chooses for special occasions, so when a very dear friend dined here with her family recently I asked her if she would share her experiences with me. "When we entered Valbella it was like entering a beautiful Winter Wonderland...the decor at this fine restaurant changes seasonally and since it was January it resembled an ice palace. The service was impeccable and the wine list was impressive. We all ordered specials...the steak ($60), the salmon($45), the gnocchi($40)...all very different dishes and each cooked to perfection." When I stopped by with our photographer one day, I had the pleasure of chatting with Morgan, the manager. I asked her if there was anything that she would like to convey about Valbella, she responded instantly. "What makes our restaurant stand out, besides the food, of course, is the owner, David. His old school hospitality is appreciated by all who dine here. He knows every returning guest by first name and greets them with a handshake and says 'welcome home.'"
