Mira Sushi
M-F 11:30am-2:30pm; Sa 12pm-11:30pm
The brick-walled, deep space at Mira is lined with large tables, banquets and booth-style seating. Not only do they differentiate themselves from other casual New York Japanese restaurants by its decor, but also by Mira’s uncommonly found pan-Asian menu items and quirky Asian takes on American and European classics. Yakitori skewers, spicy salmon rolls and fresh slices of yellowtail are found next to hot stone-seared Kobe beef (cooked tableside), curry shrimp, spicy tuna pizza, beef bulgogi tacos, platters of cold soba noodles with chopped vegetables and crispy pork belly with chili bean paste and pear salad. The menu allows the diner to travel across Asia experiencing many of the common street foods with a “hint of the exotic.”
